Burritos

This is a very simple, very quick, and very easy way to make burritos. We often use leftovers for the filling, so you can be creative. If you have an airfryer, you can use it to warm up the burritos, but also make the outside nice and crispy.

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 3 people 1x

1 Bellpepper

1,5 tsp Minced garlic (fresh or paste)

1tbsp olive oil

Salt & Pepper

1 Bag salad mix of choice

Mixed Herbs to taste (we used basil, thyme, chives, and parsley)

1tsp paprika powder

1,5 tsp of Köfte seasoning (can be found in a turkish supermarket)

6 tbsp Mayonnaise (either bough or homemade)

12 tsp Sambal olek (spice to taste)

Instructions

  • cut onion, bell pepper and feta cheese into bite size pieces.
  • add olive oil to a medium size pan and cook the onion, bell pepper and garlic until soft.
  • then add the mince meat to the onion mixture and season with salt, pepper, paprika powder and köfte seasoning. Cook until cooked through and nicely browned.
  • in a small bowl mix together the mayonnaise with sambal olek until it has a nice creamy texture.
  • once the meat is done place a burrito on a cutting board, and add about one tbsp to the center of the burrito.
  • next add a small handful of salad, a few pieces of feta and a pinch of the herb mixture.
  • lastly add 1-2 tbsp of the meat mix to the burrito.
  • to close the burrito pinch the sides of the burrito inward and roll it until closed.
  • once the burrito is closed, place it in the airfryer and cook at 180 degrees C for 4-5 minutes.

Notes

As mentioned earlier these burritos are great for using up leftovers. Any type of meat, cheese, veggies etc. that you have left over from other dishes can be used to make a tasty filling. Leftover tomato sauce is also a nice addition. Enjoy!
