Morcilla & Potatoes

We absolutely love morcilla, a delicious blood sausage with rice commonly used in Portuguese and Spanish cuisine. Its rich, hearty flavor is perfect for the colder months, and it pairs beautifully with potatoes. With some morcilla leftover, we decided to create this quick and simple recipe to make the most of it!

1 pair of morcilla sausage

350400g potatoes

1 onion

23tbsp of cooking oil

Salt

Instructions

  1. peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes.
  2. coat the potatoes in a little bit of oil, and place the potatoes in the airfryer for 15-20 minutes.
  3. cut the onion into small pieces.
  4. cut the morcilla into thick slices.
  5. add the cooking oil to the pan and over medium heat add the onions.
  6. once the onions are translucent, place the morcilla in the pan, and fry them until crispy from both sides. Turn them frequently.
  7. once the potatoes are done season them with salt, and place them on a plate.
  8. add the morcilla and onions to the plate and enjoy!

Notes

This recipe can be done with any airfryer. We used the steam/airfry funtion on our Ninja multicooker. Cooking times may vary with other devices.
